I got some Egyptian scroll decals from Ginfritter's today, and I'm scared to try putting it on. I've never applied decals before. How should I proceed? There are instructions on the back and I've got a micro-set and micro sol, but I can't imagine it's really as easy as they make it sound...

Here is the model I want to apply the decal to: Master of Words.

How much harder is it to get decals to stick to a curved surface than a flat surface? If I accidentally let the bottom edge of the decal brush the back of her cloak, am I screwed? Do I need some kind of padded tweezers, or will the plain metal kind work without tearing the decal?

Any advice or kind words or non-horror stories about your first try at decals would be much appreciated. ;)
