Dedicated to preserving Southern Oregon's environment, natural resources, and quality of life, the Rogue Group is composed of Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Curry, and Lake Counties. This includes the entire Rogue Valley, with activity sections in Grants Pass, the Illinois Valley, and Brookings. We are headquartered in Ashland, about 15 miles south of Medford.
Our meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month in either the Guanajuato room or the Gresham Room at the Ashland Library at 5:30 p.m. We encourage you to attend. Please refer to the Contacts page or E-mail our Vice-Chair, Bob Palzer. He will be happy to hear from you and anxious to help.
The Rogue Group is emphatically opposed to a biomass burner at Southern Oregon University. The Sierra Club in Oregon is opposed to expanding natural gas facilities. There are air quality, climate, and forest resource concerns with a biomass burner. There are climate concerns with natural gas. Based on those concerns, we strongly oppose a biomass burner at SOU.
Rogue Group offers several opportunities for volunteers to contribute to the protection and enjoyment of our beautiful valleys, rivers, mountains, and forests. YOU can make a significant contribution by donating 3-4 hours per month (and have a great time doing it).
